In just its second year of playing varsity basketball, the Lady Lions roared their way to the Class 5A State Tournament in San Antonio under the guidance of Christy Westbrooks.
The Lady Lions went 30-9 and rolled through the likes of Crosby, Foster, Pflugerville Hendrickson and Barbers Hill to get to the Alamodome.
District 20-5A MVP Alaysia Cook is back to lead the offensive charge. Cook averaged a team-leading 14.3 points per game.
